Have some pretty words
To decorate your wall
Put the best ones forward
Repeat them, one and all 

The words that aren’t so shiny

You’d better hide away

Those words I keep behind me

So they don’t destroy my day

When we admit that words have power

We must also learn respect

Lest we one day sit and cower

About some words that we regret

But though words can lead to violence

If not said with proper care

You should also fear silence

For the words that other will place there

It is time to make a choice

About what you think has worth 

It is your words, with your voice 

That you must speak onto this earth
