Anger should get you out of bed and through the front door
Anger should make you dissatisfied, asking for more
It should be a short, sharp burst right to the heart
It's the energy needed to make you shout and play your part
It cannot be the thing that powers you through the years
It can compliment grief, but should not hold back tears
Anger has a role, but it wants to play the lead
And wants to dictate the list of all that you need
Anger is only righteous when it's second to grace
Do not vanish, Anger, but know your place
